{"id":332,"date":"2009-03-06T03:35:55","date_gmt":"2009-03-06T03:35:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/daveraphael.com\/blog\/?p=332"},"modified":"2009-03-06T03:35:55","modified_gmt":"2009-03-06T03:35:55","slug":"jason-filyaw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/daveraphael.com\/blog\/jason-filyaw\/","title":{"rendered":"Jason Filyaw."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Son of a highly recognized 5th Marine Scout Sniper, Jay rose to meet his own celebrity after a rumoured affair with Brittany Spears.\u00a0 Together we learned that the cover of the National Enquirer and the cover of Rolling Stone are two very different universes.\u00a0 One of my old friends made it to the cover of Rolling Stone.\u00a0 We made the cover of the National Enquirer.\u00a0 After all that, and careful consideration, Im not too sure which one is worse.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-328\" title=\"36\" src=\"http:\/\/daveraphael.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/36.jpg\" alt=\"36\" width=\"664\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-329\" title=\"21\" src=\"http:\/\/daveraphael.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/21.jpg\" alt=\"21\" width=\"664\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We went to high school together, shared many dreams, played in bands and  over the years, have made several records together.\u00a0 I took these two years ago maybe, during a break from grinding some idea out in the studio.\u00a0 Many of our best ideas were formed on this patch of grass and wood.\u00a0 Much of our best wasted time has been spent at this spot as well.\u00a0 With the bustle and madness of being a grown up, sometimes it takes digging up some old picture to be reminded of who your best friends are in life.\u00a0 Sometimes you are lucky enough to find those pictures.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-330\" title=\"34\" src=\"http:\/\/daveraphael.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/34.jpg\" alt=\"34\" width=\"664\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-331\" title=\"19\" src=\"http:\/\/daveraphael.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/19.jpg\" alt=\"19\" width=\"664\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I took these photos with an old summitar lens that was made right after WW2.\u00a0 That lens probably had some incredible history.\u00a0 It saw fuel go from leaded to unleaded to high octane.\u00a0 Watched several giant wars come and go.\u00a0 Saw Hollywood change from black and white to colour.\u00a0 Watched Americans stop reading and get sucked into Television until there was nothing but apologetic sheep and egg shell walking lemmings left in this country.\u00a0 Saw the birth and death of Rock and Roll, the US space program and the professional career of the great Dr. Hunter S.
